What is Fall Alarm?

A fall alarm works in exactly the same way as a Pendant Alarm, with some added features. You can press the sensor to activate your alarm but it will also detect when you have a fall and automatically activate your alarm. It is the perfect solution for those living with increased fall risk.

What does a Fall Alarm do?

By using advanced technology, our Fall Alarm detects falls automatically and alerts our Care Team. In the event of a fall, its innovative algorithm measures loss of altitude and speed, alerting you if you are unable to move.

Key Features:

  • Works like a pendant alarm.
  • Automatically detects falls.
  • Raises an alert, even if you can’t.
  • Easily cancel false alerts with inbuilt delay.
  • Extended range of 200m from the base unit, ideal for home and garden.

How our Fall Alarms Work

1

Using your Fall Alarm The sensor will detect when you take a fall and automatically contact our care team within seconds. There are also SOS buttons you can press both on the sensor and on the base unit itself.

2

We answer Moments later, our experienced and friendly care team will begin speaking to you through the loudspeaker on your base unit. We’ll ask you some questions, assess your situation and get you the help that you need.

3

Help is on the way We’ll organise the most appropriate help for you based on your situation, whether that means contacting your keyholders, or the emergency service to ensure you are not alone and to get the medical attention you need.

3 Reasons Why Customers Choose our Fall Plan

Here are three reasons why you should think about upgrading to a fall alarm if you are already considering ordering a personal alarm.

  1. Falling is the most common cause of admission to hospital for the over 65s, with 1 in 3 people in this age bracket falling each year.
  2. If you are over 80, there is a 50% chance you will have a fall this year.
  3. If you have already suffered a fall, you are very likely to experience another fall again this year.

If you or a loved one are unsteady on their feet or prone to suffering a fall, then a Fall Alarm would be definitely worth considering. You get that extra peace of mind knowing that the fall sensor will raise an alert even if you cannot.

Need More Than One Sensor?

Having an extra sensor is a great idea if there is somebody else living in your home who would also benefit from a careline alarm.

You might also find it useful to have an extra pendant button around the house somewhere you can easily reach it – just in case you forget to put yours on and you need help.

When placing your order, just select from the Optional Extras in the basket options.
